We meet the tenant on the day that they are moving into the property and walk through the property and the inventory with the tenant. We agree and make any additional comments to the inventory together where necessary.
At the end of the check in we will complete a schedule of condition and cleanliness of the property, take the utility meter readings, and list the keys that are being handed over. The tenant then signs the check in declaration.
When the inventory we’re working from is one created by Chase, it will be updated electronically with any additional comments from the check in and a clean copy provided to the instructing party. Where the inventory used for the check in is not one of our own, we’ll create an addendum to the original inventory with supplemental comments. This addendum will also include the signed check in declaration.
